This quote from a certain final instalment of an epic triology summarizes my absence from beginning to end. Delays in final exams, a concert, buying parts for a new computer, and general laziness all contributed to my absence along with the decline of interest in many series that I’ve been following. Toradora is a rare exception that pulls me back in.

Without fail, Toradora’s turned the generic pool day episode of slice-of-life fame into something interesting, hot, funny, and slightly wtf (thanks, Minori!).

Yes, I’m still alive, though barely. I sort of saw this coming, but this Ami-centric episode was touch and go for me. Everything’s there and in its right place: Minori antics, Inko-chan’s words of wisdom, and just enough Taiga to sate my needs. But if you read this thing I call a blog then you probably know that I’m not very fond of Ami. And as much as I hate her, I sort of felt bad for her story. Let’s take a closer look…

I actually planned to have this posted yesterday. I had written everything up and uploaded all the pictures, but then I realized I wrote a “page” instead of a “post”.
